GRAND OPENING VINACS AIR CATERING AT NOIBAI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

On March 24, 2017, Vietnam Air Catering Services Join Stock Company (VINACS) officially organized its grand opening ceremony of its air catering facility at Noibai International Airport.
At the ceremony, VINACS was honored to welcome Leaders of Soc Son district Party Committee, Soc Son People’s Committee, Leaders of Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam, Leaders of Northern Airport Authority, Leaders of Airport Corporation of Vietnam, Leaders of Noibai International Airport and other guests from authorities, companies at Noibai International Airport; especially with the presence of General Representatives, General Directors and representatives of over 40 airlines both from domestic and international.
Opening the ceremony, Mr. Duong Tien Nghia – General Director of VINACS expressed his warmest welcome and gratitude to all honored guests attending the great opening ceremony. VINACS catering project at Noibai International Airport was approved by Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam and started construction from June 2016. After nearly 9 months, all of the items and the whole project have been completed. The catering facility when operating would be capable of producing over 10,000 meals a day; creating nearly 200 jobs for local workers.

Besides, VINACS Noibai:
- Has been examined and granted license to put into operation by Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam,
- Has been trained Halal awareness and audited by Malaysia Halal Consultation & Training Agency to certify HALAL kitchen and Halal certificates for all staff,
- Has been inspected fire protection system, completed and been approved environment affect judgment, granted license of waste water into water system,
- Has built quality management system according to ISO 22000,
- All catering trucks and vans have been granted license to access restricted area of the airport by Northern Airports Authority,
VINACS have also:
 - Organized for all employee to take part in training courses, including Food hygiene and Food Safety, Occupational Health & Safety and Fire Safety according to the law.
- Trained employees operating aviation ground handling equipment, vehicles in restricted area at airport.
VINACS catering facility at Noibai International Airport is equipped with modern technologies, production lines, equipment and systems mostly imported from England, France, Italy, German, USA and Japan including cantilever kitchen systems meeting the standard of Western, Asian, Japanese, Korean, Halal, special meals according to IATA standards; with 36 chillers and freezers covering nearly 2000 m2 with center control; central air conditioning system; modern camera system to supervise all factory operation, allowing access historical data in line with regulations of the authorities; automatic washing line systems for tools and equipment of airlines and kitchens including kitchen for staff; supervising the whole production line with advanced ERP system, applying the ultimate automatically technologies for time, cost saving and labor saving cost.
With the modern advanced equipment systems provided by popular producers all around the world; with international standard quality managing system and experienced labor force in airline catering industry, VINACS is therefore regarded as one of the regional modern air catering facilities and in the world.
We are confident to assure that all items have been fulfilled and reached the target of the project; that is: satisfying the growing demands of the airline market as well as creating more options for airlines in airline catering in Vietnam.
Continuing the opening ceremony, Mr. Vo Huy Cuong - Deputy General Director of Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam delivered his speech to strongly congratulate VINACS, also did he emphasize that the appearance of VINACS totally broke the monopoly in the airline catering services industry at Noibai International Airport over the time and offer airline customers more choices of high quality products and services at international standards. Mr. Vo Huy Cuong also strongly believe on the rapid development of VINACS, and on the contribution of VINACS to the development of airports throughout Vietnam.

On behalf of airlines, Mr. Ahmet Akpinar - General Director of Turkish Airlines in Vietnam gave his speech of congratulations on the opening of VINACS and expressed his full confidence that; with its experienced managers and staff in airline catering, with its modern technologies and production lines together with its advanced quality management systems; VINACS shall become reliable partner of airlines in the coming time, VINACS shall be with its sustainable development and success in the future.

Responding to the congratulations of representatives of authorities and airlines, Mr. Nguyen Minh Hai - Chairman of Board of VINACS expressed his sincere appreciation to Ministry of Transport, Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam, Local authorities, Northern Airport Authority, Noibai International Airport that have created all favorable condition to support VINACS to complete its job. At the same time, Mr. Nguyen Minh Hai also appreciated all bid tenderers, contractors that directly participated in the construction, equipment installation, project management consultancy, monitoring consultancy and especially the utmost effort and solidarity of the whole employee of VINACS.

Following that, VINACS sincerely invited representatives of authorities and airlines to be on stage to perform the cutting ribbon protocol of VINACS catering facility at Noibai International Airport.

After the ribbon cutting protocol, all distinguished guests were introduced on a kitchen tour to all technologies and production lines and altogether joined a warm cozy party performed by its VINACS chefs and staff on its production lines and technologies.

The opening ceremony of VINACS Noibai ended with rhapsody from both honored guests and people of VINACS; all with promise to meet again at VINACS opening ceremony at Cam Ranh international airport in April, all with hope for full cooperation in the coming time.
