VINACS CAM RANH: EXPANDS 5-STAR ONBOARD FOOD SERVICE

VINACS Cam Ranh has expanded its onboard food service to hotels, restaurants, schools and hospitals.

VINACS started to serve 5-star onboard meals to passengers from abroad in quarantine at Sao Viet Hotel, Nha Trang City on April 20.  3 meals meeting 5-star onboard food standards are served daily.

A passenger named Nguyen Van Huong, Long Bien, Hanoi, on VJ5139 flight on Aril 19 said, “VINACS meals are nutritious with a variety of dishes. The menu changes every day. The food is served hot and fresh. We are so satisfied.”

The aircraft industry, including onboard food service, has been adversely impacted by Covid-19. The company has to cut jobs and face a significant drop in turnover. Therefore, to remain operational and create jobs, the company is trying to expand markets and cooperate with hotels to serve on-board food to those in quarantine when returning home from abroad.

According to Doan Trong Tien, Director General of VINACS Cam Ranh, currently, VINACS serves food to 13 airlines, including 2 domestic ones, namely Vietjet and Bamboo Airways and 11 international ones. In addition, the company serves food to 5 non-airline partners in Khanh Hoa Province.

The food provided by VINACS has been recognized to meet the 5-stard standard by several airlines, namely Asiana Airlines, China Airlines, Turkish Airline and Pacific Airlines. Providing food for hotels is a new step for the company to expand its market.

“We will continue expanding the market by working with schools, hospitals, travel agents and organizations to serve 5-star onboard food at reasonable prices. Besides, the company will make bottled fresh fruit juice. We are committed to product quality with optimal incentives amid the pandemic.

Furthermore, VINACS is willing to cooperate with businesses, organizations and individuals to serve packaged fast food. With a large factory scale, capacity of 15,000 portions/day together with ISO 22000-2018 quality certification, we are confident to become a leading onboard food provider in Khanh Hoa,” Doan Trong Tien confirmed.

Apart from production and business, VINACS is also one of organizations proactively taking part in charity work for the community’s sake, contributing to the fight against Covid-19. Specifically, VINACS has provided free meals to those in quarantine at the Training Center (Khanh Hoa Border Defense Force Headquarters) and Air Defense Division 377 (Air Defense Force).

VINACS has overcome challenges due to the pandemic, creating jobs and showing social responsibilities.
